The Original Grandpa's Gizmos Course

Grandpa's Gizmos is an engaging educational course tailored for young adults and adults, starting from age 13, who have little to no experience with Arduino, programming, or electronics. Designed to cater to community education initiatives, home schooling, junior high and high schools, as well as corporate teams seeking to enhance their in-house training, this course is not just about learning; it's about empowering individuals with essential skills in modern technology. By the end of the course, participants will possess a solid foundation in Arduino programming and electronic principles, equipped to tackle real-world projects with confidence. You are encouraged to complete the lessons in order. In addition, please read through the entire lesson first, before doing hands-on assembly or wiring. Then go back and work through the lesson. While you can look ahead you cannot "complete" a lesson until you have completed the previous ones. Each lesson has the following files: -- PDF: This is the main lesson in PDF form which can be viewed in a browser or downloaded. The PDF format does not have video capability however, so any videos are pulled out and put as seperate files after the PDF. -- MP4: video files. These should be directly playable in the browser but if you download them they will have the MP4 extension. -- MP3: sound files. These should be directly playable in the browser but if you download them they will have the MP3 extension. -- PPSX: As an alternative to the PDF, if you have Powerpoint installed, you can click this link and the videos will work embedded in the presentation. This is a little smoother experience and is more amenable to a classrooom setting. -- ZIP: Sketch files. Unzip to the folder where you keep your sketches.
